Features
Ultra-Flexible Lineset Routing
When it comes to connecting the outdoor condenser to the indoor air handler, Pioneer's DYR series offers an industry-leading allowability for both difference in height (98 feet) as well as total length of run (164 feet for 24K and 246 feet for 36K and above).
More Uniform Room Temperatures
With a powerful static pressure output of up to 0.8 inches w.c., you can be assured that the system will quickly move air to minimize differences in air temperature throughout the home.
Compact Side-Discharge Condenser
Take advantage of a more modern outdoor unit design, which both frees up more floor space and provides much better protection in tough weather conditions than the typical top-discharge type.
Better Comfort, Better Efficiency
The DYR series features a twin rotary inverter-type compressor that can adjust output level between 25% and 110%, to perfectly heat and cool your home while drawing minimal energy. This technology is also featured in the system's computer board to assist in capacity adjustment, and keep the home at your desired temperature without fluctuations.
Low-Ambient Heating
Pioneer's DYR series is perfect for all year-round home climate management, being able to provide continuous heat pump heating down to outside temperatures as low as -13°F. The condenser comes with a built-in drain pan heater and the air handler includes a 5 or 10kW strip heater to provide supplemental heating (optional). The 24K, 36K, and 48K BTU options have even achieved the coveted Energy Star™ Cold-Climate certification.
Extreme-Weather Cooling
Scorching hot weather is no problem when it comes to this highly capable machine. Enjoy full capacity at temperatures all the way up to 122°F, eliminating any worries about your system keeping up. Use your new system to cool in below freezing weather as well, for specialized applications.

Shipping Details
We only ship to the 48 contiguous United States. No shipments to APO/FPO addresses, AK, HI, PR or other US Territories. No international shipments. Due to the size and the weight of our equipment, we can only utilize well known freight companies for shipping. Each shipment will be palletized, strapped down and wrapped in stretch film to protect against damages during transit.
Upon arrival you may ask the driver to break down the palette into individual cartons to unload the goods from the truck easily. We generally include Lift Gate service. This will arrive as curb side delivery. Trucker will unload the goods from the truck to ground level. If you must have inside delivery service, there will be an additional charge which needs to be paid separately and coordinated with the freight company. We also allow free pickup from our main distribution warehouse, located in Miami area. Equipment we sell is not suitable for express or courier shipping because of their weight as well as high risk of damages.
Due to higher than expected order volume and busy sales season, larger orders may take an extra 3-5 days to be prepared for shipment. We are working around-the-clock to ship out all orders in a timely manner, and will communicate with you if there are any unexpected delays or questions.
We prepare each shipment within 72 hours after the receipt of payment (only during weekdays). Trucking companies usually pick up same day or a day after we call them that the shipment is ready. The transit may take any time between 5 to 8 business days and in rare cases up to 12 days.
We will provide tracking information after shipment. Please contact us in case of any shipment delays. CHECK YOUR INFORMATION CAREFULLY TO SUBMIT THE CORRECT DELIVERY ADDRESS, UPDATED EMAIL AND A VALID PHONE NUMBER with your order. Someone must be present to receive the cargo at the time of delivery. Delivery company will call your phone number to setup a delivery appointment for residential deliveries. If your phone number is not valid, the cargo can not be delivered and will be returned at your expense within 3 days of arrival. If the delivery is refused or can not be delivered, it will be handled as returned merchandise.
Upon arrival, count all cartons and compare with the number stated on the delivery receipt before signing. Open the cartons and inspect the goods carefully for any damages. All products have been inspected under strict ISO regulated facilities and leave our warehouse in perfect condition. Report any shipping damages to the freight carrier on the delivery receipt and file a claim. Also contact us with the description of damages and pictures, etc. Although rare, certain freight damages can occur and we are here to help.
We carry all necessary replacement and service parts and components in large quantities and make them available during and after the warranty period.
QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Ask a Question-
What size refrigerant lines are required? Are they brazed in both at the evaporator and the outside unit service valves?
It requires 3/8" and 7/8" diameter lines for liquid and suction. Yes they are brazed/sweated on at both ends.
-
How low of an outside temperature will this work in WITHOUT using the electric strip heater?
Automatically: ONLY during the defrost cycles. Manually: Only if the user selects the emergency heat function on the thermostat. Otherwise all heat down to -13°F is provided by the heat pump when the system is running.
-
Hello, can this unit be wired up to be controlled by a Nest Thermostat?
Yes it definitely can.
-
The air handler use a variable speed motor?
It has a multi speed ECM motor.
-
What is the climate range for minimum temp for heating
These systems work down to -13°F outside temperatures in heating.
-
How many square feet can it handle
Recommended for up to 2,000 SQ ft.
-
Thermostat included? What basic accessories are needed for operation?
This listing is for the Outdoor Unit, Indoor Air Handler Unit, and the Supplementary Electric Strip Heater. Thermostat is not included, but it can take any standard American thermostat of your choice. To get it up and running, you would just need to acquire a thermostat as well as the copper refrigerant lines to connect the units together.
-
Does this unit come with a line set?
It does not include a lineset. This 56K system would use 3/8" and 7/8" lines. They would need to be brazed on to the system.
-
Does this unit tie into Existing ductwork
It definitely can if desired.
-
It does work with existing line set?
Yes, but existing line set should be 3/8"x7/8" diameter.
-
can the unit be pre charged for a 50LF line set
This is factory pre-charged for up to 25 feet. For 50 feet you'd need to top off the precharge with additional refrigerant during installation.
-
The unit is advertised as variable speed, but the thermostat wiring described in the manual only allows for a single stage thermostat to be connected. How is the speed of the air handler and compressor controlled, without a multi stage or communicating thermostat?
-
What are the actual dimensions of the indoor unit, Net or Carton? Net Dimensions (WDH): 22 × 24 × 53-7/8 Inches Carton Dimensions (WDH): 25-1/4 × 28 × 55-1/2 Inches
Net Dimensions are the indoor unit's actual dimensions. Carton would be the box it ships in.
